Levin modell 212 C 1932!!

Just for fun my friends, I’d like to present some of the vintage acoustic instruments that I collect. A swedish brand called “LEVIN”
Was named Goya in the US..

I got a WHOLE lot of these old ones and I’ll post a video here now and then..

On 27 July 1900, Herman Carlson Levin began building his wonderful stringed instruments in a small workshop in Gothenburg. My great passion is collecting these instruments that, to my eyes (and ears), were some of the best guitars ever built..

Certainly, many people today know of Levin for its fine old arch-top guitars or its plainer and not quite so fine-sounding beginners’ instruments from the 50s and 60s. But long before this, Levin was top of its class in Europe and other parts of the world. It already achieved a high-point as an instrument maker at the 1907 World’s Fair in Madrid, where it won the gold medal for the best guitar. Remember, this was in the Spanish guitar builders’ home territory. Not only that, Levin was awarded the exhibition’s Grand Prix.

    Thank You!!!!

Well, the 1970’s Levin’s were FINE instruments indeed, your W32J should sound and play really well, all solid woods and the folks building them had looong experience!
I’m not surprised that your Martin falls behind..
Hey, if it ain’t broken, why fix it?! ;)
But if you find a good luthier you should be ok with repairs..

    Awesome instrument. …
Awesome instrument. I have a 1970’s Levin W32J and its the finest guitar I have ever owned. Makes my old Martin sound crap. It is badly in need of restoration since previous owners abused it badly, but I just dare not take the chance that it would lose something in the process.
