I disagree with that, i run a marshall through a digitech rp1000 and it sounds great with clean tone. Had a line 6 at one point and the sound was awful, expecially the “insane” setting. I guess to each his own though

It’s surprising the clean tone that the spider puts out. The EFX on the thing SUCK, but the clean tone and the reverb sound real smooth.

Why would you get a really nice guitar but a terrible amp? Your amp makes up 50 to 80 percent of your tone, and a bad amp is going to do terrible things to your tone. Get a new amp buddy
